After a long time QRT , I restarted an Amateur Radio Station from 2013 .
When I was a student of secondary school (about 1969) , I got a license of Phone-class that is not required CW skill . This class was only permitted in Japan . And in my days at high-school , I was a member of the high-shool Radio Club , JA0YCR .
After that , I got a licence of Telegragh-class , which needs CW skill of 5 words/min .
In my university days , I got licenses of 2nd class and 1st class , and , I enjoyed CW contests , especially ARRL CW Contest .

I have 4 Japanese Lisenses : Phone class , Telegragh class , 2nd class , 1st class
The examination for JA 1st class License was difficult . We had to pass the CW testing .
1) Receiving and Sending CW Test at the speed of 45 letters/min (English) .
2) WABUN ( Japanese styled words CW . For example : イ=・－、ロ＝・－・－ ) at the speed of 60 words was so difficult ! I failed once for receiving .
3) Nowadays , We are not requied to pass the examination of CW skill in Japan .
The way changed .
